If your test results show that you need more tests or treatment, we will contact you.

If you want to talk to someone about your results, fill out our test results request form and someone will be in touch.

Please note that we do have a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection. In this respect we will only give out results to the person they relate to unless that person has given prior permission for their release or if they are not capable of understanding them.

Blood tests

White House Farm only do blood tests in the morning due to designated collection times, if you need a blood appointment in an afternoon Doncaster Royal Infirmary provide a blood test service until 5pm each weekday. If you wish to have a test done at the hospital you will need to get a blood test form from reception.

NOTE all blood tests have to be approved by a GP or clinician before the test can be taken.

Cervical screening (smear)

Cervical Screening Tests have a normal turnaround time of 14 days but due to the recent advertising campaign encouraging women to have a test this has increased demand for the service and results could take up to one month.

When your cervical screening has been processed a confirmation letter with the result will be sent to your address.

To book a Cervical Screening test please ring the surgery on 01302 831437 or enquire at reception, please note the surgery does not do Cervical Screening tests on a Friday afternoon.

Urine, sputum and stool samples

All urine, sputum and stool samples need to be brought into the practice before 12 noon any weekday.

If you provide a urine sample after 12 noon we may only be able to dip this and should the test show a possible infection you will need to provide a fresh sample the next workng day which will be sent to the hospital to confirm infection.

Stool and Sputum samples brought in after 12 noon cannot be accepted due to external collection times and you will be asked to provide a fresh sample the next working day.

Please note urine sample results can take a few days to reach the surgery depending on what tests the pathology lab need to do, in some exceptional circumstances the pathology lab may need to send the sample to another department or hospital which can delay results.
